RCS is proud to provide the industry’s most comprehensive warranty.
All RCS American Renaissance Grills, Cutlass Pro Series Grills and Cutlass Pro Series side burners, sinks, briquette trays, as well as ALL doors and drawers are warrantied to be free from manufacturer defects for the lifetime of the original owner.
All RCS Premier Series Grills and Premier Series Side Burners are warrantied to be free from manufacturer defects for 15 years to the original owner.
All RCS Refrigeration products are warrantied to be free from manufacturer defects for 7 years to the original owner.
All other products carry a one-year warranty to the original owner.
This RCS warranty is effective for product sales beginning April 14th, 2025.

This warranty excludes normal surface corrosion, discoloration, surface scratches and surface rust which may occur. Improper maintenance, salt spray, chemicals, pesticides will affect the look and integrity of the components of these products. RCS will not be responsible for any damage caused as a result of not following owner’s manual instructions. This non-transferrable warranty is limited to the replacement of original (one-time) defective parts, does not include shipping and labor to remove or install replacement parts, if necessary. The owner must retain and submit their original receipt with any warranty claim to receive warranty parts. The warranty applies to the original owner only. How much ice does this make in a day?
Up to 44 lbs per day.
That is production over 24 hours, not storage, so a long party draws the bin down faster than the machine refills it.
How much ice does the bin hold?
26 lbs at a time.
What size opening does the REFR3 need?
Cut the island opening 15" wide by 24" deep by 33 1/2" high.
Frame to those numbers rather than to the cabinet size, and confirm the opening before the countertop goes on.
How big is the unit itself?
14 3/4" wide, 23 1/4" deep and 33 1/2" high.
The small difference between those numbers and the cutout is the clearance you need for the unit to slide in and come back out for service.
Which side does the door open from?
The hinge is reversible, so the door can be set to swing left or right depending on where you stand to scoop.
Can this ice maker live outside year round?
It is UL certified for outdoor use, which is the rating that separates an outdoor ice maker from an indoor one dropped into a patio island.
Can I change the size of the cubes?
Yes. Cube size is adjustable, so you can run smaller cubes for glasses or larger ones for a cooler.
Is this built-in only, or can it stand on its own?
It is specified with a cutout, so it is designed to drop into an island or cabinet opening.
If you want a finished look outside of an island, RCS lists a trim kit for REFR3 ice makers.
What model number is this?
REFR3, from the RCS R-Series. Use that designation when you are matching parts or checking an existing install.
How is this different from the RCS nugget ice maker?
This one makes adjustable-size cubes at 44 lbs per day. The RCS nugget ice maker makes soft chewable nugget ice at 55 lbs per day. Both store 26 lbs.
Pick by the ice you want in the glass: cubes hold up longer in a drink, nugget is the chewable kind.
