Frequently Asked Questions
What grills is the RSSG4 built for?
The compatibility list is the RCS RON30A/B, RON38A and RON42A. It drops into the grate area of those grills, so check the model designation stamped on your grill before ordering.
The RON30B is the Cutlass Pro 30 built-in, one of the models on that list.
What are the cooking surface dimensions?
You get 14-1/8" of width and 14-5/8" of depth to cook on. That depth is enough to run two rows of food front to back rather than one.
How much space does it take up on the grates?
Overall it occupies 14-1/4" wide by 19-3/4" deep. Plan the space using that number, since the frame and grease handling extend past the cooking surface itself.
Is the whole griddle stainless steel?
The cooking surface is 304 stainless steel and the base plate underneath is cast iron. It is a two-material design on purpose, not a solid stainless slab.
Does it cook evenly, or does it follow the burners?
The cast-iron base plate heats fast and spreads heat across the plate to reduce hot spots. That is what lets you park pancakes or eggs on one area and get a consistent result.
How do you clean up after cooking on it?
A removable grease tray is included, so grease collects in the tray instead of running into the grill. The 304 stainless cooking surface is a smooth face to scrape down.
Should I buy the RSSG4 or the RSSG3?
Go by your grill. The RSSG4 covers the RON30A/B, RON38A and RON42A; the RSSG3 covers the RCG32, RJC26A, RJC32A/L and RJC40A/L.
Size differs too. This one is deeper at 14-5/8" of cooking depth, with a 19-3/4" overall depth against the RSSG3's 17-3/4".
Let customers speak for us
I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
