How heavy is it?
Two pounds. It is the lightest cover in the TrueFlame line, which is why it lifts off one-handed when you want to use the burner.
What is it made of?
Durable, water-resistant black vinyl with a soft felt backing. Rain, sun and debris stay on the outside, and the felt side keeps the burner's finish scratch-free.
Does a burner set into an island still need a cover?
The burner grate and control panel sit exposed at counter height even in a built-in island, so they collect rain and debris between uses. Covering the burner regularly is what extends its life.
Is this the same cover used on the double side burner?
No. TrueFlame lists a separate cover for the double side burner, and this one is cut for the power burner body. Match the cover to the burner you own rather than to the opening size in your island.
