It reads well against darker island stone and black stainless appliance packages, where polished steel can look too bright.

How does it differ from the Matte Jet Black model?

Only the sheen. Both are RAL 9005, this one gloss and the URS-1XE-SM9005 flat and non-reflective.

Performance and specifications are identical, so pick on appearance alone.

Will a painted finish survive outdoors?

Alfresco applies its color finishes for outdoor durability and offers them across the outdoor product line.

The refrigeration system underneath is the same all-weather unit used in the stainless model, so you are not trading capability for the finish.
