Alfresco 24" PolarCore Under Counter Refrigerator AR-24PR, Panel Ready
The AR-24PR is the panel-ready version of Alfresco's PolarCore 24-inch outdoor refrigerator. Instead of a finished stainless door, it accepts a custom overlay panel, so the refrigerator disappears into your cabinetry entirely. If you are building an outdoor kitchen where the design intent is continuous cabinet fronts rather than a run of visible appliances, this is the model that makes that possible.
Everything behind the door is identical to the standard AR-24. A variable speed compressor modulates between 780 and 1,800 BTUH rather than cycling on and off, giving tighter temperature control from 33°F to 50°F, quieter operation, and better efficiency. A commercial fan-driven fin evaporator spreads cold evenly, the Flash Recovery System restores temperature quickly after the door has been open, and automatic defrost removes the maintenance chore.
Inside are self-closing adjustable roll-out shelves and door-activated LED accent lighting with multiple color and intensity settings. The cabinet is 304 stainless steel, front and bottom ventilation allows built-in or freestanding installation, a door lock is included, and the unit is ETL certified.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the overlay panel included?
No. Panel-ready means the door is built to receive a custom panel that you or your cabinet maker supply so it matches the surrounding cabinetry.
Alfresco publishes an overlay door installation guide with the panel dimensions and weight limits. Get those numbers to your cabinet maker before the panel is built.
What exactly separates the AR-24PR from the AR-24?
Only the door. Capacity, compressor, temperature range and features are identical between the two.
The standard AR-24 has a finished stainless steel door if continuous cabinet fronts are not your design goal.
How much storage is behind the panel?
5.67 cubic feet in a 24-inch-wide cabinet, on self-closing adjustable roll-out shelves.
How cold does it hold?
33°F to 50°F, digitally adjustable, held by a variable speed compressor that ramps between 780 and 1,800 BTUH instead of cycling fully on and off.
Modulating rather than cycling gives tighter temperature control, quieter operation and better efficiency, which matters on a hot patio.
Can it be installed freestanding?
Yes. Front and bottom ventilation supports either a built-in island installation or freestanding placement.
How evenly does it cool?
A commercial fan-driven fin evaporator spreads cold through the cabinet, and the Flash Recovery System restores temperature quickly after the door has been open.
Do I need to defrost it manually?
No, defrost is automatic.
Is there lighting inside?
Yes, door-activated LED accent lighting with multiple color and intensity settings.
What is the cabinet made of?
304 stainless steel, and the unit is ETL certified. The PolarCore Series is Alfresco's current outdoor refrigeration platform.
Does it lock?
Yes, a door lock is included.
Let customers speak for us
I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
