This is the premium cover for a 42-inch Alfresco mounted on a cart, spanning both the grill head and the cart body. A freestanding 42-inch grill presents a lot of stainless to the weather with nothing shielding it, which is exactly the case for the better material.
Woven textured PVC leather with a felt-lined interior, treated with an anti-freeze agent for cold resistance to minus 25 degrees Celsius. It stays supple through hard freezes rather than stiffening and tearing at stress points, and the felt lining keeps the cover from abrading the finish over years of daily use.

Alfresco's standard cart (XE-42C) and deluxe cart (XE-42CD) share the same footprint and differ in door and drawer configuration, which is what a cover cares about least. Confirm your cart model designation if you want that settled before ordering.
Can I use it on a built-in grill?
No. This is cut long, to take in the grill and the cart body underneath it. For a 42-inch grill head in an island, the AGV-42-PREM is the correct part.
Is the premium worth it over the standard AGV-42C?
In cold climates, yes. Ordinary vinyl stiffens and can crack through repeated freezes, while this material is anti-freeze treated to minus 25 degrees Celsius. Where winters are mild, the standard AGV-42C protects the same grill for considerably less.
