Alfresco Premium Cover for 30" Built-In Grill AGV-30-PREM
Alfresco's premium cover is a different product from the standard vinyl, not just a nicer version of it. It is made from woven textured PVC leather with a felt-lined interior, and it is treated with an anti-freeze agent that keeps the material cold-resistant down to minus 25 degrees Celsius. Ordinary covers stiffen and crack in hard cold; this one stays pliable.
The felt interior is the other real difference. It sits against the grill's stainless without abrading it, which matters on a cover that goes on and off several hundred times over its life. The woven textured finish also looks considerably better on a grill that forms the visual centerpiece of an outdoor kitchen.

Which grill does the AGV-30-PREM fit?
An Alfresco 30-inch built-in grill head. It is cut for the grill only, not for a cart body underneath, so a 30-inch grill on a cart takes the AGV-30C-PREM instead.
What is woven textured PVC leather?
A woven synthetic leather with a textured surface, lined on the inside with felt. It is a different construction from plain vinyl sheet rather than a thicker version of it, which is why Alfresco puts it on the premium tier.
The felt lining sits against the stainless without abrading it. Over the several hundred times a cover comes on and off during its life, that is what protects the finish.
How cold can it get before the material suffers?
It is treated with an anti-freeze agent rated to minus 25 degrees Celsius, which is minus 13 Fahrenheit. Below-freezing weather is where ordinary covers stiffen and crack; this one stays pliable through it.
Should I buy this or the standard AGV-30 vinyl?
Buy the premium if you get hard winters, or if the grill is a visible part of the kitchen. The standard AGV-30 protects the same grill for less in mild climates, and at $199 the premium is a cold-weather and finish decision rather than a coverage one.
