The premium-tier cover for Alfresco's AXE-PZA countertop pizza oven. It is the same fit as the standard AGV-PZA vinyl cover in a heavier construction.
Across Alfresco's cover range the premium tier is a woven textured PVC leather with a felt-lined interior, anti-freeze treated for cold resistance, rather than a thicker grade of the same vinyl. Alfresco has not published a separate materials sheet for the pizza-oven version specifically, so we are describing the tier rather than asserting figures for this exact part. Is the premium tier worth it here?
On a grill, the honest answer is usually climate: the premium cover matters where hard freezes stiffen and crack a vinyl one. Charleston does not do much of that.
Where it earns its place on a pizza oven is the lining and the look. A felt-lined interior sits against 304 stainless without scuffing it over the hundreds of times a cover comes on and off, and a countertop oven usually lives somewhere visible — on an island or a cart in the middle of the patio — where a woven textured finish reads as part of the setup rather than a tarp.

Can I put it on straight after cooking?
No. Let the oven cool completely first. A ceramic hearth holds heat long after the burners are off, and covering a hot oven traps steam underneath.
Do I need a cover at all if the oven lives under a roof?
Usually still yes. The chamber is open at the front, so blown debris, pollen and insects reach the hearth even where rain does not.
Should I just buy the vinyl cover?
Often, yes — and we will say so on the phone. If the look of the cover and the lining do not matter to you, buy the AGV-PZA and spend the difference on the pizza peel.
