Will it fit my oven on a cart?
Alfresco lists it for the countertop oven, and some dealers describe it as the freestanding pizza oven cover, which suggests it may also suit a cart-mounted oven.
We have not confirmed that with Alfresco, and a cover that stops short is useless. If your oven sits on the AXE-PZA-CART-01 or the AXE-PZA-PPC, call 843-212-7209 first.
What is the difference between AGV-PZA and AGV-PZA-PREM?
Tier, not fit. Across Alfresco's cover range the standard is water-resistant vinyl and the premium AGV-PZA-PREM is a woven textured PVC leather with a felt-lined interior.
For most Charleston-area installs the vinyl cover is the sensible buy.
Do I really need to cover a pizza oven?
More than you need to cover a grill. The chamber is open at the front, so rain and debris get in through the door opening rather than sitting on a lid, and the ceramic hearth is what you are keeping dry.
Can I cover it right after cooking?
No. Let it cool completely. A pizza oven runs above 1,000°F and holds heat in a ceramic slab long after the burners are off.
Is it waterproof?
Water-resistant. That is the honest description for vinyl covers of this type — it sheds rain and keeps the oven dry in normal weather, but it is not a sealed membrane.
Does it protect against salt air?
It keeps salt spray and grit off the stainless, which is the main thing on a coastal install. Wiping the cover itself down periodically is worth doing for the same reason.

The ceramic hearth and ceiling slabs sit inside a chamber that is open at the front, so wind-driven rain and debris get in through the door opening rather than just sitting on a lid. Covering it between cooks keeps the hearth dry, which matters the next time you run it to 1,000°F.
