The cutout is 23 1/2" wide, 21" deep and 11 3/4" high. Build the island opening to those dimensions before the grill arrives, since the head drops into the opening rather than sitting on top of it.

456 square inches on the main grids, and 606 square inches once you count the warming rack. That is the difference between what you can sear at one time and what you can hold at temperature above it.

How many burners are there and what is the total output?

Two cast stainless steel bow tie burners producing 36,000 BTUs together. That output is split across the two burners, so you can shut one side down and hold an indirect zone on the other.

Does it come set up for natural gas or propane?

It ships configured for natural gas, and an LP conversion kit is packed with the grill. Decide which fuel your island is plumbed for before you install, because converting after the grill is set in the opening is harder than doing it on the bench.

Can I use this grill if I am not building an island?
