How many burners does it run?
Two main burners producing 24,000 BTUs, plus a rear burner behind the grates for rotisserie cooking.
Two wide burners in a 30-inch box give you a straightforward two-zone setup: one side hot for searing, one side backed off.
Is the rotisserie kit included?
Yes, on the SL-Series the rotisserie kit comes with the grill, and the rear burner that drives it is already installed.
How much cooking surface do you get?
672 square inches of primary cooking space.
Is this the natural gas model or the propane one?
This is the natural gas build, C3SL30NG, which ties into your home gas supply. The propane version is a separate model, the C3SL30LP.
Fuel is set when the grill is built, so confirm the model designation matches your supply before ordering.
Does it have lights?
Internal and external lighting. The internal lights show the cooking surface and the external lighting picks out the control panel.
Does the hood open on a spring?
Yes, the hood is spring-assisted, so it lifts with one hand rather than needing both.
How much does it weigh?
115 pounds. The island framing carries that at the edge of the opening, so build accordingly once you have confirmed the cutout width with Coyote.
How does the SL-Series compare to the C-Series at this size?
Different equipment, and the openings are not confirmed to be the same. The C-Series 30" takes a 25" cutout, a figure Coyote publishes consistently. The SL-30's cutout width is the one Coyote's own documents disagree on, so do not assume the two heads are interchangeable in an existing opening.
On equipment: the C-Series runs three burners with no rear burner, a manual hood and internal lights only, and the rotisserie is a separate purchase. If you want rotisserie capability and the spring hood without adding parts later, the SL is the one.
What is it made of?
304 stainless steel throughout, with stainless cooking grates that hold heat for searing.
How does it light?
Electronic ignition on the control knobs, so there is no separate igniter button or match lighting in normal use.
