How many burners does the C3SL36NG have?
Four main burners rated at 28,000 BTUs, plus one rear burner for rotisserie work.
Four burners across 36 inches gives you narrow, controllable zones rather than two broad ones, which is the practical benefit of stepping up from a 30-inch grill.
What are the cutout dimensions?
32 1/2" wide x 10 1/4" high x 20 1/2" deep for the island opening.
Is a rotisserie kit part of the package?
Yes. The SL-Series includes the rotisserie kit, and the rear burner it pairs with is already fitted to the grill.
How much cooking area is on the main grate?
840 square inches of primary cooking space.
Does this one need a gas line?
Yes, this is the natural gas configuration, so it connects to your home supply and there is no tank to refill. The propane build is the C3SL36LP, a separate model.
Is the hood spring-assisted?
Yes. The hood opens on a spring assist and the grill carries both internal and external lighting for night cooking.
How heavy is the grill?
160 pounds. On a 32 1/2-inch span that is a meaningful load, so the island framing and counter need to be built for it.
What is the construction?
304 stainless steel, body and components, with heavy-duty grates for heat retention.
Should I size up to the 42-inch SL?
The SL-Series 42" steps up to five burners, 32,000 BTUs and 1,050 square inches, and needs a 39 1/2-inch cutout instead of 32 1/2 inches.
Seven inches of extra island width is the real cost of that upgrade. If your island is already drawn, check the opening before you change models.
Is cleanup handled?
The grill uses a grease management system that collects drippings for removal rather than leaving them in the cook box.
How do the controls work?
Precision control knobs on the front panel with reliable ignition, one knob per burner so each zone is set independently.
