What size island opening does the TF-TD1-14-A fit?

It is built for flush-mount openings between 10" and 14 7/8" wide. The unit itself measures 14 1/2"W x 19.7"D x 26.4"H, so plan the cavity around that footprint.

Is this a single pull-out or a set of drawers?

One drawer. The whole 14 1/2" face pulls out as a single roll-out for trash, which is why it is narrow rather than divided.

How far does the drawer come out?

All the way. It rides on heavy-duty full-extension tracks with ball-bearing slides, so the back of the bin clears the island face and you are not reaching into the cavity to lift a bag out.

Does it close hard when it is loaded?

No. The drawer is soft-close, so a full bin still finishes the last stretch quietly instead of slamming into the frame.

Will 14 1/2 inches be enough width for my island?

It is the narrow option in the TrueFlame drawer line, meant for the leftover run of island where a wider unit will not fit. If you have a 20" to 24 7/8" opening to work with, the 20" two-bin trash and recycling drawer uses that space instead.

What is the face made of?

Weather-resistant 304 stainless steel, hingeless, with a flat modern handle. It wipes clean, which is the point on a trash drawer.

Can I use this in a stone or brick island?
