Black Friday Grill Buying Guide 2026

Prices, inclusions and offer terms checked 30 September 2026. This is a buying guide, not a sale announcement: we have not announced a Black Friday promotion, and this page will not invent one. Our one current offer is set out below exactly as it works.

Holiday grill shopping rewards the buyer who compares complete setups rather than headline prices. Two grills a few hundred dollars apart can end up much further apart once the cart, cover, rotisserie and island liner are counted, and a “package” is only a deal if everything in it is something you would have bought anyway. This guide covers what to add up, what to check is included, and what to confirm about fuel, warranty and delivery before you order.

What should I compare when shopping for a grill package?

  • The complete setup price, not the grill price. Add the cart or island parts, cover, insulating liner if needed, and any accessory you actually want.
  • What is included versus optional. Rear burners, sear burners, rotisseries and carts vary by model, even within one brand.
  • Fuel. Natural gas and propane are separate versions; buy the one your home supports.
  • Installation. A built-in grill needs an island opening cut to that model, and often a liner.
  • Warranty. Coverage differs sharply by brand and by part.
  • Delivery. When it ships and whether it will arrive when you need it.

Appliance price versus complete setup cost

Here are three real examples from our catalog, at current prices. The built-in totals do not include building the island itself.

Setup What you add Total
Coyote SL-Series 36" built-in (propane) $3,699 Insulated jacket $799 (needed in a combustible island) + built-in cover $99 $4,597 plus the island
Coyote SL-Series 36" on cart $4,648 Cart cover $149 (the built-in cover does not fit the cart) $4,797, no island needed
RCS Premier 32" built-in $2,049 Insulating liner $789 + cover $94 + rotisserie kit $199 $3,131 plus the island
RCS Premier 32" on cart $2,583 Cover $94 + rotisserie kit $199 $2,876, no island needed

Two things stand out. The liner or jacket is the largest hidden cost of a built-in grill, and it is not optional in a combustible island; the insulating liner guide explains when you need one. And the cart version can cost less in total than the built-in, once the island work is counted. For the whole-project picture, see what an outdoor kitchen costs.

With our current offer, add-ons chosen on the grill page are 10% off, so the $94 RCS cover above comes to $84.60 when selected on the Premier 32 page. See the offer section below.

Included versus optional: read the spec, not the photo

Product photos often show a grill with its rotisserie fitted or a cart underneath. Check the specification for what actually ships. Examples from manufacturer documentation:

  • Summerset TRL Pro 32: the 15,000 BTU infrared back burner and rotisserie kit are included. The built-in is $3,199; the version on its deluxe cart is $4,748.
  • Coyote SL-Series 36: the 15,000 BTU sear burner and infrared rear burner are standard. Coyote also lists a rotisserie kit among SL features; if the rotisserie matters to you, ask us to confirm what ships with the unit you are ordering.
  • RCS Premier 32: the rotisserie is a separate purchase (RJC32ROTIS, $199).
  • Built-in grills never include the island liner or jacket; it is a separate, model-specific part.

A “free accessory” package is worth only what you would otherwise have paid for accessories you actually want. Price the grill alone and the accessories alone, then compare.

Fuel type and installation

  • Natural gas or propane. Each grill is sold as a natural gas or a propane version. Buy the one your home supports; converting later adds cost, and most manufacturers require conversion by a qualified technician. See natural gas vs propane.
  • Built-in grills need a model-specific opening. Two grills with the same nominal size can need openings several inches apart. Use the cutout dimensions reference, or the replacement grill finder if you are replacing an existing grill.
  • Overhead cover changes the plan. A grill under a roof or pergola needs a hood sized to it; read the ventilation guide before you buy.

Warranty coverage

Warranty is part of the price. The headline terms, from each manufacturer:

Brand Headline coverage (residential use)
Coyote Limited lifetime on stainless burners and stainless housing; 5 years on cooking grids; 2 years on heat control and electrical parts; 1 year on ignition and valves.
Summerset “Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty” on construction, stainless steel, grates, burners and valves; 3 years on other parts and electrical. Registration within 30 days is required.
RCS Lifetime for the original owner on Cutlass Pro and American Renaissance grills; 15 years on Premier; 1 year on everything else.

Other brands differ; see warranty information. Read the conditions too: several brands limit coverage to residential use, and installation requirements such as a liner in a combustible island can affect coverage.

Compatibility and delivery

If the package includes accessories, confirm each one fits the grill model, not just its size; the gifts for grill owners guide shows how. Shipping is free to the contiguous United States. Per our shipping policy, in-stock orders ship within one business day once payment is processed, with tracking emailed within 24 hours of dispatch. Delivery times vary by product and origin, and we do not publish holiday cutoff dates; if the grill must arrive by a certain day, call 843-212-7209 before ordering for a current estimate.

Our current offer

Frequently asked questions

Will Northwoods Grills have a Black Friday sale?

We have not announced one. Anything we confirm will appear on the promotions page; until then, the add-on offer above is the only one running.

Is a grill package cheaper than buying separately?

Only if you would have bought every item in it. Price the grill and each accessory separately, check each accessory fits the model, then compare.

Should I buy a built-in or a cart grill?

If you do not already have an island designed for a specific grill, the cart version is usually simpler and can cost less in total. Many cart grills use the same grill head as the built-in; see built-in vs freestanding.

What hidden costs come with a built-in grill?

The island, an insulating liner or jacket if the island is combustible, gas and often electrical work, and a hood if there is a roof overhead.
