American Made Grills Cart for Atlas 42"
The American Made Grills Cart for Atlas 42" (CART-ATLAS42) takes a built-in grill head and makes it freestanding — the same grill, the same cooking, without pouring an island. For a patio you may reconfigure, a rental, or a first phase before the masonry happens, the cart is the sensible route. Built from commercial grade #304 stainless steel to match the grill it carries. See our full range of cart grills from American Made Grills.
AMG describes the Atlas cart as a custom cart built for stand-alone installations running a standard 20 lb. propane tank — the configuration most Atlas buyers actually want, since the Atlas is the series people choose when they are not building a full masonry outdoor kitchen. The cart gives you storage and mobility without that commitment.
The 42-inch cart carries the wider Atlas head, which means more grate and more weight over the same wheelbase. Worth confirming the cart is rated and available for the 42 before ordering — AMG documents the Atlas cart primarily around the 36-inch grill.
Ventilation runs through the sides, rear and base. That is not a comfort feature — a sealed cabinet under a running grill traps heat and, on propane installations, is a genuine safety issue. The cart is built to move air through the enclosure continuously.
Arrives fully assembled, which on a stainless cart of this size saves a weekend and a lot of swearing. Made in America and backed by the American Made Grills Gold Standard lifetime warranty on stainless steel construction, workmanship and materials, with 3 years on hardware.

American Made Grills Cart for Atlas 42" Grill
Frequently Asked Questions
Which head does the CART-ATLAS42 take?
The Atlas 42" grill head, the wider of the two Atlas sizes. It converts that built-in head into a freestanding grill — the head itself is the Atlas 42" built-in grill.
Is there anything I should confirm before ordering the 42?
Yes. American Made Grills documents the Atlas cart primarily around the 36-inch grill, so check that the cart is listed and rated for the 42-inch head against your own grill's model designation before you order.
How is it different from the 36-inch Atlas cart?
It carries a wider head, which means more grate and more weight over the same wheelbase. Construction, ventilation and tank accommodation are otherwise the same across the two sizes.
Does a propane tank live inside?
Yes. The Atlas cart is built for stand-alone installations running a standard 20 lb. propane tank, stored inside the cabinet rather than sitting beside it.
Why does the cabinet have vents on three sides?
Side, rear and bottom ventilation keeps air moving through the enclosure while the grill runs. Heat build-up in a sealed cabinet is a real problem, and with propane inside it is a safety issue rather than a preference.
What grade of steel is it?
Commercial grade 304 stainless steel construction, built in the USA and finished to match the grill.
Is a cart a step down from an island?
It is a different commitment, not a lesser grill — the same head cooks the same way on either. Choose the cart if the patio may be reconfigured, if you rent, or if masonry is a later phase. See the other American Made Grills carts.
Let customers speak for us
I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
