At the heart of the Muscle 54 is American Made Grills' patented hybrid fuel tray system. Fill the 12-gauge trays with charcoal briquettes, lump charcoal, wood chunks, or pellets and use the gas burners underneath to light them — or run the grill on straight gas and let the ceramic briquettes distribute radiant heat. You can mix and match zone by zone, searing over hardwood on one side while holding sides over gas on the other.

Constructed from #304 stainless steel throughout, the MUS54 features eight 22,000 BTU main burners delivering 176,000 BTUs across the cooking surface, plus an included 22,000 BTU infrared drop-in sear burner for steakhouse-grade searing. Heavy-duty 9-gauge reversible V-shaped cooking grates hold heat and lay down defined grill marks, while a double-lined, spring-assisted hood with adjustable vents gives you control over smoke and convection when running solid fuel.

With over 1,600 square inches of total cooking area, the Muscle 54 handles a full brisket, a rack of ribs, and burgers for a crowd at the same time. An included rotisserie kit with spit storage, interior halogen lighting, blue LED-illuminated control knobs, dual-spark brass flame thrower ignition, and heat zone separators round out a grill backed by American Made Grills' Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty.

The CART-AMG54 Freestanding Cart

The CART-AMG54 cart is built in the same commercial grade #304 stainless steel as the grill head and arrives fully assembled. Because this is a hybrid grill, the cart carries something the gas-only carts do not need: a large storage drawer divided by stainless steel fuel partitions, sized to keep charcoal and hardwood dry and separated by type. Above it sit two accessory drawers on soft-close hardware, a folding side shelf and cutting board, a cart handle with towel holder, and a dedicated propane tank pullout drawer.

Ventilation runs through the sides, rear, and base — not a comfort feature, but a safety one, since a sealed cabinet under a running grill traps heat and, on propane installations, fuel vapor. Locking and non-locking caster wheels let you position the grill and hold it there. Treat a 54-inch hybrid on a cart as semi-permanent rather than portable: it rolls, but it is a substantial piece of stainless furniture, so measure gate and path widths before delivery.
