Frequently Asked Questions
How tall is this drawer in the island?
The frame is 28" W x 22.5" D x 9.5" H. That 9.5-inch height is shallow by design — it takes a single horizontal slot in the island and leaves the space below for a cabinet or waste drawer.
What is it meant to hold?
Everyday grilling gear: spatulas, tongs, grill brushes and spice containers. It is the drawer you open mid-cook, so it is sized for tools rather than bulk supplies.
Can I reach things at the back?
The full-extension heavy-duty glides pull the drawer entirely clear of the frame, so the back of the drawer ends up in front of the island face.
How do I choose between the 28-inch and the wider drawers?
Match the drawer to the island opening you have. The 32-inch single drawer shares the same depth and height with four more inches of width.
Will it take heavy utensils?
The build is described as sturdy enough to support the weight of heavy utensils and grilling gear, not just light tools.
What handle does it use?
It has universal handle compatibility, so the front can be finished to match the other components in your outdoor kitchen.
What is the drawer made of?
Commercial-grade 304 stainless steel, built to take sun, rain and temperature swings without rusting.
Let customers speak for us
I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
