What cut-out size does the BA-DPCF17 need?

15-1/2" wide by 28-1/4" high. The outside frame that covers it is 17" wide by 30" high, so the beveled frame laps the opening on every side.

How far back into the island does it sit?

The drawer box extends 20-1/2" into the interior of the cut-out. Check that nothing — a gas line, a grill's rear panel, the back wall of a shallow island — sits inside that 20-1/2" envelope before you cut.

How big are the two drawers?

Both the middle and bottom drawer are 9" high by 14" wide. That is deep enough for bottles of BBQ sauce standing upright and for spice containers, which is the use the unit is built around.

Does the paper towel holder take a full-size roll?

Yes, a full-sized roll fits. It is a tilt-out holder in the top position, above the two drawers, so the unit uses the full height of the under-counter space from top to bottom.

Will it look right next to a grill from another brand?

It should. The frame carries a number 4 horizontal light brushed finish with large contemporary squared handles and no branding on the face, which is why Sunstone builds this line to blend with other manufacturers' grills and components. More of the same line is in grill drawers.

What stainless grades are used where?

16 gauge 304 stainless for the frame, 18 gauge 304 for the drawer panels and boxes, and 20 gauge 201 stainless for the interior cabinet box, which is not exposed to the elements. The handles are chrome-plated zinc alloy.

How well is it sealed against weather?

Each drawer box is fully enclosed, and the soft-closing tracks make sure the drawer finishes its travel and seats against the frame rather than sitting ajar. That combination is what keeps rain out of the contents.
