Coyote Insulated Jacket for 42" CL-Series and SL-Series Grills
Frequently Asked Questions
What size grill is this jacket cut for?
Coyote's 42" CL-Series and SL-Series grills. Both models at that width use the same liner.
They are the CL-Series 42" built-in and the SL-Series 42" built-in.
Does a bigger grill make the liner more important?
A 42" firebox puts out more heat than a 30" one over the same cook, and all of it is contained by island framing on three sides. The jacket is what keeps that heat off the structure.
Is it required by code?
An insulating liner is what makes a built-in installation into combustible framing acceptable in most jurisdictions, and codes commonly call for one. Confirm the requirement in your area before framing the island.
What is it made from?
A 304 stainless steel exterior over a high-temperature insulation core, rated for the temperatures a large gas grill produces.
Will it change fuel consumption?
Coyote expects better heat retention from it, meaning faster pre-heat and more stable temperatures, with less gas needed to hold them. On a grill this size that adds up over a season.
Can I use the 36" jacket if I already have one?
No. The liner has to match the grill width, so a 42" grill needs the 42" part. Coyote builds 30", 34", 36" and 42" versions separately.
Which part number is it?
CJAKTCS42.
Let customers speak for us
I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
