They are the CL-Series 42" built-in and the SL-Series 42" built-in.
Does a bigger grill make the liner more important?
A 42" firebox puts out more heat than a 30" one over the same cook, and all of it is contained by island framing on three sides. The jacket is what keeps that heat off the structure.
Is it required by code?
An insulating liner is what makes a built-in installation into combustible framing acceptable in most jurisdictions, and codes commonly call for one. Confirm the requirement in your area before framing the island.
What is it made from?
