The Primo GO Portable Base for Oval Junior is one half of a two-part system, and it is the half that requires the other: Primo lists it as needing the Primo GO Portable Top, SKU PG00321. Ordered on its own by someone who does not already own that top, it is not a usable setup.
The GO arrangement exists because the Junior is the Oval you can realistically take somewhere. Primo's own fitment note says the portable top can be used with or without this base, which tells you how the pair divides up: the top is the piece that goes with the grill wherever it ends up, and this base is what you add when there is no table, tailgate or counter to set that top on.
If the Junior never leaves the patio, a cart base is the better spend — more structure, and side shelves available for it. GO is for the grill that moves.

Can I use the GO base without the GO top?
No. Primo lists this base as requiring the Primo GO Portable Top, SKU PG00321. The two are designed as a pair and the base is the lower half of it, so a base bought alone leaves you with nothing to put the grill in. Order both unless the top is already in your possession.
Which Primo grill is the GO system for?
The Oval Junior, and only the Junior. Primo does not extend GO to the Large, X-Large, XX-Large or Round, which makes sense — the Junior is the small Oval, and portability is the whole point of the system. If your grill is any other size, look at cart bases and cradles instead.
What does the base add that the top does not do alone?
Height and independence from furniture. Primo's fitment note says the top works with or without this base, so the top is the essential half and the base is what stands it up when you have no table to work from. Buying both gives you a setup that is freestanding at home and still comes apart.
Should I buy the GO setup or a cart base for my Junior?
Buy GO if the grill travels — camping, a second property, a friend's yard. Buy the cart base with basket if it lives in one spot, because the cart is the heavier support and side shelves are available for it. They answer different questions about where the Junior spends its life.
Does the Oval Junior grill come with this base?
No. This listing is the base by itself. You supply the grill, and you also need the GO portable top for the base to have any function. Think of the complete GO setup as three separate purchases: the Oval Junior, the portable top, and this base underneath it.
