Which jacket size matches my grill?

Three sizes are listed: the 28" SUN3BJK, the 34" SUN4BJK and the 42" SUN5BJK. Their sleeve openings measure 25-3/8", 31-3/8" and 39-3/8" wide respectively, all 23" deep and 10-1/4" tall.

Measure the grill body that has to sit inside the sleeve, then match it to that sleeve width rather than to the name of the size. Sunstone's built-in grills are the intended match.

What island cutout does each size need?

The 28" needs 28-1/2" wide by 23-1/4" deep by 14-3/4" high; the 34" needs 34-1/2" wide and the 42" needs 42-1/2" wide, both at the same 23-1/4" depth and 14-3/4" height.

Overall product widths run 30-1/8", 36-1/8" and 44-1/8", each 24-3/4" deep and 14-1/2" tall, with weights of 41, 47 and 55 pounds.

Do I actually need an insulating jacket?

It reduces the heat reaching the surrounding island structure, which is the reason it exists. Check your local building code for what your island framing requires before you finalize the design.

What else does the jacket change about how the grill runs?

The insulating sleeve increases air flow to the burners and reduces flame disbursement, and the design adds enhanced venting at the bottom of the grill.

What is the drawer underneath for?

It is an extra wide drawer sized to match the grill width, meant for barbecue accessories or for warming bread and buns off the grill's radiant heat.

The jacket is self-rimming for a clean installed edge, and it has universal left and right connection ports so the gas run can come in from either side.
