Alfresco 36" Accessory Grate & Tray Set XE-36AG
Alfresco's drop-in accessories, the Commercial Griddle, Solid Fuel Insert, Indirect Roasting Pod, and Steamer/Fryer, each occupy part of the cooking surface. The XE-36AG fills the rest. It is the insert grate and tray set that squares off the remaining area on a 36-inch grill so you get the maximum usable cooking surface while an accessory is in place, instead of a partly wasted grate.
If you own more than one of Alfresco's drop-in accessories, this is the piece that makes them practical for real cooking. Run the griddle on one side and a full working grate on the other, rather than losing half the grill every time you want a flat top.

What does the XE-36AG actually do?
It fills the part of a 36-inch cooking surface that a drop-in accessory is not using. Alfresco's Commercial Griddle, Solid Fuel Insert, Indirect Roasting Pod, and Steamer/Fryer each occupy a section of the grill, and this insert grate and tray set squares off the remaining area so it stays fully usable.
Without it, running a griddle means giving up part of the grill. With it, you get flat top on one side and a working grate on the other.
Which grill size does it fit?
The XE-36AG is specific to 36-inch Alfresco grills. It is not a universal part and does not carry over to other sizes in the range, so check the size and model designation on your grill before ordering.
Does a drop-in accessory come with it?
No. This is the grate and tray set only, priced accordingly at $49. The griddle, roasting pod, solid fuel insert, and steamer are separate purchases.
What is it made of?
304 stainless steel, the same grade Alfresco uses across its drop-in accessory line. That matters on a part that sits directly over burners and stays in the grill through cooking cycles.
