Alfresco Deluxe Pizza Oven Prep Cart AXE-PZA-PPC

This is not a stand for the oven. It is an outdoor pizza station with the oven mounted on one end — roughly five and a half feet of stainless steel carrying an insulated ice drawer, a condiment well, a removable cutting board, a plate shelf, a storage compartment and a folding side table.

The logic is simple: making pizza is a production line. Dough, sauce, cheese, toppings, launch, turn, land, cut, serve. If you are carrying each of those from an indoor kitchen the evening falls apart. This cart puts the whole line beside the oven.

Is it worth it over the plain cart?

Ask how you actually cook. If the oven gets used for a couple of pizzas on a weeknight and then covered, the standard AXE-PZA-CART-01 cart does the job for a fraction of the price, and it is the more sensible buy.

The prep cart earns its money when the oven is how you entertain — when you are running dough for a dozen people, need toppings cold and to hand, and do not want to be walking indoors between pizzas. The ice drawer alone changes that: mozzarella and prepped toppings stay at temperature next to a 1,000°F oven.

The third option is not a cart at all. If the oven is going into a masonry outdoor kitchen, buy the AXE-PZA-BI built-in and build the prep space into the island.
