What material is the AGV-36, and what does it keep off the grill?

Does a tailored cover fit differently from a universal one?

Yes, and that is the main argument for this one. The AGV-36 is cut for the 36-inch built-in grill head so it sits snug; a loose cover moves against the finish and lets rain track underneath its edges. Check which model you have in Alfresco's built-in grills.

Why is the AGV-36 vented?

So condensation can get out. Sealed against stainless steel, damp air has nowhere to go; the vents release it while the vinyl keeps rain off the hood and control panel.

Will it stay put in wind?

Secure fastenings hold it to the grill head. Only the head is covered on a built-in installation, so there is less loose material for wind to catch than on a cart cover.

Is this the same cover as the 42-inch built-in version?

No. The AGV-36 is cut for the 36-inch built-in grill, and the 42-inch built-in takes the AGV-42. The two are not interchangeable, so go by the width in your grill's model designation.

Does the AGV-36 fit a cart grill?

No. It is cut for the built-in grill head only. A 36-inch grill on a cart takes the AGV-36C, or the AGV-36CSB if the cart includes a side burner.
