Does the GL-TRLPRO40 fit any 40-inch grill?
No. It is built specifically for the 40" Summerset TRL Pro built-in grill and is precision-cut to that body.
The grill it pairs with is the TRL Pro 40" built-in. Match the series as well as the width before ordering.
What cutout do I frame for it?
42" wide, 11 1/8" high and 22" deep. The opening is wider than the grill because the liner surrounds the grill body.
Cut to the liner, not to the 40" grill dimension, or the assembly will not seat.
Is the liner mandatory?
Summerset lists it as required for combustible construction. If your island is framed in wood or composite, this is the component that makes the built-in installation viable.
It is a safety part, not a finish accessory, which is why it is specified alongside the grill rather than sold as an upgrade.
How is it insulated?
