Which grill does the GL-SBG30 fit?
The 30" Summerset Resort built-in grill, and only that model. Liners are cut to a specific grill body, so a 30" liner from another series will not drop in.
Check the model designation on your grill against the Resort 30" built-in grill before ordering.
Do I actually need a liner for my island?
You need one if your island is built from combustible materials such as wood or composite cabinetry. Summerset lists this liner as required for combustible construction.
If your island is solid masonry or block, the liner is not the same requirement, but many local codes and inspectors still ask about clearances around a built-in grill.
What opening does the liner need?
The published cutout is 30 5/8" wide and 24 1/4" deep. Frame to the liner's dimensions, not the grill's, since the liner is what sits in the island.
How much insulation is in it?
It is a double-walled design about 1" thick. That air-gapped construction is what reduces heat transfer from the grill body into the surrounding cabinetry.
The barrier also catches heat, grease and flare-up exposure that would otherwise reach the island framing.
What is the liner made of?
#304 stainless steel, the same grade used on the grill itself, so it holds up to outdoor exposure and does not become the weak point in the install.
Will the liner interfere with the grill's airflow?
No. It is engineered to the grill's dimensions so that proper airflow and clearances are maintained once the grill is seated inside it.
