Summerset Resort 30" Built-In Gas Grill SBG30

Description

The Summerset Resort 30" Built-In Gas Grill (SBG30) is engineered specifically for commercial and hospitality applications, delivering rugged durability, consistent performance, and low-maintenance operation for high-use environments. It suits outdoor kitchens in restaurants, resorts, apartment communities, vacation rentals, and multi-family properties, where a grill has to handle frequent, demanding use and still produce professional results.

Constructed from heavy-duty #304 stainless steel, the Resort 30" is designed to withstand harsh outdoor conditions and continuous operation. Its simplified, commercial-grade design focuses on reliability and longevity, which makes it a strong choice for property managers, contractors, and hospitality operators who need dependable performance without unnecessary complexity.

Two high-output stainless steel burners provide even heat across the cooking surface, giving consistent results whether you are preparing meals for guests, tenants, or large groups. The straightforward burner system allows easy temperature control and efficient operation, which matters in hospitality settings where staff turnover is high and training time is short.

Heavy-duty cooking grates are built for durability and heat retention, delivering reliable searing under frequent use. A double-lined hood improves heat retention while protecting the exterior finish, helping the grill hold its appearance over years of service.

Specifying for a commercial property

Grills in rental and hospitality settings fail differently than residential ones. They are used harder, cleaned less often, and rarely covered. The Resort series exists for that reality: fewer moving parts, no electronics to fail, and a burner system that a maintenance team can service without a specialist. If you are specifying grills across multiple units, call us before ordering and we will work through quantities and lead times with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size opening do I build for the Resort 30?

The cutout is 28.5 inches wide, 23 1/16 inches deep and 10 3/16 inches high. Frame to those numbers, not to the 30-inch model name.

The grill head itself measures 30 inches wide, 27 inches deep and 25.5 inches high, so the flange overhangs the opening on all sides once it drops in.

How many burners does the SBG30 have and how much heat do they put out?

Two stainless steel burners producing 52,000 BTUs across the grilling surface. That is a high output for a 30-inch head, and it comes from two large burners rather than a row of small ones.

Fewer burners means fewer valves, orifices and ignitors to service over the life of the grill, which is the point of the Resort design.

How much cooking space is there?

543 square inches of total cooking capacity. That covers the main grates plus the warming area above them.

What grade of stainless steel is the Resort 30 built from?

Heavy-duty #304 stainless steel. It is the more corrosion-resistant of the two grades Summerset uses across its lines, which is why it appears on a grill specified for uncovered, high-traffic installations.

Why is this called a commercial and hospitality grill?

It is engineered for outdoor kitchens at restaurants, resorts, apartment communities, vacation rentals and multi-family properties. Those grills get used harder, cleaned less often and rarely covered.

The design answers that directly: fewer moving parts and a burner system a maintenance team can service without a specialist.

Does the SBG30 have electronics that can fail?

No. The description specifies no electronics in the unit, which removes the most common failure point in a shared or rental setting where nobody is babying the equipment.

Is it available in natural gas as well as propane?

Both. Order the configuration that matches the gas supply at the island, since fuel type is set when the grill is built.

What does the double-lined hood actually do?

It holds heat inside the cooking chamber and keeps the outer skin cooler, which slows the discoloration that shows up on single-wall hoods after a few seasons.

On a property where the grill is a visible amenity, that matters as much as the cooking benefit.

Are the grates heavy enough for daily use?

Yes. The Resort 30 uses heavy-duty cooking grates chosen for heat retention and durability under frequent use, so they hold searing temperature through back-to-back cooks.

How is the Resort different from Summerset's residential built-ins?

It trades features for reliability. Where the Sizzler Pro and TRL Pro lines add interior lighting, rear burners and lit control knobs, the Resort 30 keeps a simplified commercial layout aimed at consistent output and low maintenance.

Compare it against the rest of the line in Summerset built-in grills if you are furnishing a home kitchen rather than a property.

Will two burners heat the whole 30-inch surface evenly?

The two burners are specified as high-output units positioned to spread heat across the full width, and the heavy grates even out what the burners leave. It is a two-zone grill by nature, so plan on one hot side and one cooler side rather than four independent zones.
