How much heat does the SB1 put out?
15,000 BTUs from a round brass and aluminum burner. Brass and aluminum respond quickly to knob changes, which is what side dishes and sauces need.
What cutout does the SB1 need?
8 inches wide, 15 1/2 inches deep and 2 1/2 inches high. It is the smallest opening of the Summerset built-in burners, which is why it fits into island runs that are already full.
How much clearance does it need below the countertop?
Only 2 1/2 inches of cutout height, so it can go above a drawer stack or a cabinet without stealing much interior space.
How much space is on the grate?
120 square inches, on a sturdy stainless steel grate sized to hold pots and pans of different diameters steady.
