What cutout does the TF-DD-40-A require?
35 3/4" wide by 18 1/4" high, per TrueFlame's specification for this model. Note that this cutout differs from the other widths in the line, so measure against these numbers and not against a door you already installed.
How big is the door itself?
40" wide by 22" high, with 1.82" of depth behind the face. The frame overlaps the opening to hide the cut edge.
Is 40 inches the minimum opening?
Yes. This size is intended for finished island openings of 40 inches and up.
Do both doors soft-close?
They do, and magnetic latches hold them shut once closed. The hingeless design keeps all of that hardware out of sight behind the face.
What can I run behind it?
Gas connections, power, and storage. Two doors across a 40" opening give you access to either end of the cavity, which matters when a regulator sits on one side and a shutoff on the other.
