What size hole do I frame for this door?
39 3/8" wide by 19 3/8" high. The TF-DD-42-A measures 42"W x 22"H, so about 1 5/16" of frame lands on the island face along each side.
Will this fit an opening under 40 inches?
No. The 42" door is built for finished openings of 40 inches and up. A narrower opening needs a narrower door from the series.
How far does it protrude into the island?
1.82". Almost nothing is lost behind the face, so a 42" run of island cavity stays available for storage and connections.
Are the doors soft-close?
Both of them, with magnetic latches holding them closed afterward. On a door this wide that matters more than it does on a small one, since there is more leaf to swing.
Are there hinges on the outside?
No. The design is hingeless from the front, which is what keeps the 42" face reading as one flat panel pair.
What is it built from?

How does the 42-inch compare to the 45-inch door?
