Which way does the TF-DV-18VL-A open?
Left side. The opening side is set by the model, so pick it against your island layout before ordering — the TF-DV-18VR-A is the right-opening version of the same 18" x 22" vented door.
What does the venting do?
It lets air move through the compartment behind the door. TrueFlame builds this one for concealing gas connections, power hookups and storage inside an island.
What opening do I cut?
14 3/8" wide by 19 1/2" high. The door itself measures 18" wide, 22" high and 1.75" deep, and sits flush in the island face.
How thin is the door assembly?
1.75" front to back. There is very little intrusion into the island cavity, which matters when a gas line or a tank sits close to the wall.
What holds it shut?
Magnetic latches, paired with a hidden-hinge design so nothing protrudes from the face.
Is the steel single or double wall?
Double-walled 304 stainless steel. The extra wall stiffens the panel and keeps the outer face flat.
Vented or solid — which should I use?
