Hybrid 42" Grill Liner
The Hybrid 42" Grill Liner (GL-AMG42) is what makes it legal and safe to drop a 42" Muscle or Ovation hybrid grill into an island framed with combustible material — wood studs, composite cabinetry, or any custom build that is not solid masonry. Designed for the 42" hybrid chassis used by the Muscle 42 and Ovation 42.
Constructed from double-lined #304 stainless steel, the liner creates a thermal barrier between the appliance chassis and the surrounding structure. The double-wall construction is the point: it traps an air gap that does the actual insulating work, rather than simply putting one sheet of steel between the heat and the framing.
Burning charcoal and hardwood in the fuel trays produces higher and longer-held firebox temperatures than gas alone, and a 42-inch hybrid runs six burners on top of that. The double-wall liner is what stops that combined load reaching the framing over years of weekend use.
Precision-built for a seamless fit, it disappears once the appliance is set, leaving the clean built-in appearance you paid for. Backed by the American Made Grills Gold Standard lifetime warranty on stainless steel construction, workmanship and materials. Browse the rest of our grill liners to match liners to every cutout in the island.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does this liner fit?
The 42" hybrid chassis used by the Muscle 42 and the Ovation 42 hybrid built-in grill. The model is GL-AMG42.
Can I use the 36-inch hybrid liner instead?
No. The liners are sized to the chassis, and a 42-inch grill will not sit correctly in a 36-inch liner. Confirm your grill size before ordering.
Why does a 42-inch hybrid put so much heat into the island?
Charcoal and hardwood in the fuel trays hold higher firebox temperatures than gas alone, and a 42-inch hybrid runs six burners on top of that. The double-wall liner is what stops that combined load reaching the framing over years of weekend use.
Which islands need it?
Any framed with combustible material — wood studs, composite cabinetry, or any custom build that is not solid masonry.
What is the double lining?
Two walls of #304 stainless steel with an air gap between them. The gap insulates; the steel handles the weather and the corrosion.
Does the liner change the installed appearance?
No. It is precision-built to disappear once the appliance is set, leaving the clean built-in look.

I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
