Model and Installation Information

This is model ARTP-42C, a complete freestanding grill supplied on its own cart. No island cutout is involved and there is nothing to frame, cut or build — the grill arrives as a finished unit and simply needs positioning. The dimension to plan around is the overall footprint: 67 1/4" wide by 49" high by 26 5/16" deep. That width covers the grill head plus both side shelves, so measure the full 67 1/4" against your patio space rather than the 42" grilling area, and allow for the lid to clear anything overhead when raised.

The ARTP-42C uses a 110V electrical ignition, so the cart needs an outlet within reach as well as a gas supply; the halogen work light and LED knob lighting run from the same source. The caster wheels lock, and this is a large grill, so choose a firm, level position for it. Natural gas and propane are separate builds set at the time of order — choose the fuel your patio already has rather than planning to change it later.

For the gas connection, use Artisan's nominal 75,000 BTU rating when the supply line and regulator are sized. Artisan also publishes a certified total rated input for the appliance under ANSI Z21.58 / CSA 1.6, which for the ARTP-42C is likewise 75,000 BTU/hr. The rating and orifice size that apply to your particular cart are printed on its serial plate, and the care and use manual above treats that plate as the final word.

It carries the same 75,000 BTU burner package as the Professional 36 cart, so what the extra size buys is grate width and cart length — 67 1/4" overall against the 36 cart's 61.3" — which translates into more room to hold a cool zone beside a hot one and more shelf space either side of the hood for platters and prep. With the rear infrared burner and rotisserie motor included, a large roast can turn while the main grates stay free for everything else. Choose it if your patio can take a grill of this footprint and you would rather have an outdoor kitchen you can eventually take with you than one set in masonry.
