The AAEP-32C puts three independently valved 20,000 BTU U-burners — 60,000 BTUs in total — on a freestanding stainless steel cart, so you get real zone cooking without building an outdoor kitchen. Three burners is the practical difference here: run two hot and leave the third off, and you have a direct zone and an indirect zone on one 32" surface. The body is commercial-grade 304 stainless steel, made in the USA, and the grill is ordered as either natural gas (AAEP-32C-NG) or propane (AAEP-32C-LP). At 32" it sits in the middle of Artisan's American Eagle cart range, wide enough for a full cook without the footprint of a 36" cart. As a value-line American Eagle model it skips the rotisserie hardware and panel lighting of the Professional series and puts the budget into burners, briquettes and stainless.

Key Features

  • Three stainless steel U-burners — 20,000 BTUs each, 60,000 BTUs total, each on its own valve for two-zone or three-zone cooking.
  • Fully adjustable brass valves — precision flame control, enough to hold a roasting temperature rather than only sear.
  • Self-cleaning ceramic briquette system — refractive briquettes spread the flame evenly and burn off drippings instead of collecting them in a pan.
  • Heavy-duty electro-polished stainless grates — a finish that wipes clean instead of needing to be scraped.
  • 9V electronic ignition with push-button controls — no household power needed, so the cart can sit anywhere the gas connection allows.
  • Air-cooled control panel — keeps the front safe to touch through a long cook and shields the valves and ignition behind it.
  • Two-position adjustable warming rack — hold food close to the grates or lift it clear when the main surface is full.
  • Built-in hood thermometer — tells you what the closed grill is actually doing.
  • Optional Sear Zone infrared burner — a 20,000 BTU ceramic infrared burner that puts high-intensity heat directly under the meat with less flare-up than an open U-burner.
  • Commercial-grade 304 stainless steel construction — made in the USA, on a freestanding cart.

Model and Installation Information

This is model AAEP-32C, the freestanding cart configuration of the 32" American Eagle. No island cutout is involved — nothing is cut, framed or finished, and there is no masonry work to plan around. The cart needs only a gas connection; because ignition runs on a 9V battery with push-button controls, no household power is required and the grill can sit anywhere the gas supply allows.

Natural gas and propane are separate factory configurations, ordered as AAEP-32C-NG and AAEP-32C-LP, and are not converted in the field. Choose propane if the cart needs to move around the patio, or natural gas if a line is already stubbed out where it will live. If rotisserie cooking matters to you, the Artisan Professional 32" cart grill uses the same three 20,000 BTU U-burners but adds a rear ceramic infrared rotisserie burner, a heavy-duty rotisserie motor and blue LED panel lighting.

Two published BTU figures apply to this cart and both are Artisan's own. Size the gas supply from the nominal 60,000 BTU burner rating; the certified total rated input for the appliance, certified to ANSI Z21.58 / CSA 1.6, is 54,000 BTU/hr. Whichever figure you are working from, the rating and orifice size that apply to your actual grill appear on its serial plate, exactly as Artisan's care and use manual instructs.

Who This Model Is Best For

Pick the AAEP-32C if you want three-zone control on a patio rather than in an island. Sixty thousand BTUs across three separately valved burners handles a full cookout — searing on two burners while the third stays off for indirect heat — and 32" of width gives you that flexibility without the bulk of the 36" cart or the two-burner limitation of the 26". It is the right choice for a cook who wants Artisan's 304 stainless build and everyday grilling range, and who has decided that rotisserie cooking is not something they will actually do.

Artisan American Eagle 32" Freestanding Cart Grill - 3 Burners, 60,000 BTUs, 304 Stainless Steel

Frequently Asked Questions

How many burners does the 32" cart have?

Three stainless steel U-burners, each rated 20,000 BTUs, for 60,000 BTUs total. Three zones is the point — you can run two hot and leave one off for indirect cooking.

What is the grill width?

32". That is the middle of Artisan's American Eagle cart range, wide enough for a full cook without the footprint of a 36" cart.

What is the body made of?

The grill is built from commercial-grade 304 stainless steel. Grates are heavy-duty stainless with an electro-polished finish, which is what makes them wipe clean instead of needing scraping.

Is there an infrared option for searing?

A 20,000 BTU Sear Zone ceramic infrared burner is available as an option. It puts high-intensity heat directly under the meat and produces less flare-up than searing over an open U-burner.

How do the burners light?

A 9V electronic ignition with push-button controls. No household power is needed, so the cart can sit anywhere your gas connection allows.

How is the heat kept even?

A self-cleaning ceramic briquette system sits under the grates. It spreads the flame across the surface and burns off drippings rather than letting them collect in a pan.

How precise is the temperature control?

Fully adjustable brass valves run each burner independently, and a built-in hood thermometer tells you what the closed grill is actually doing. Together that is enough to hold a roasting temperature, not just sear.

Does the warming rack move?

It adjusts between two positions, so you can hold food warm close to the grates or lift it clear when the main surface is full.

Which gas supply does it run on?

It is made in both LP and NG versions. Choose LP if the cart needs to move around the patio, NG if you already have a line stubbed out where it will sit.

What would I gain from the Professional cart at this size?

A rotisserie. The Professional 32 cart uses the same three 20,000 BTU U-burners but adds a rear ceramic infrared rotisserie burner, a heavy-duty rotisserie motor and blue LED panel lighting.

If rotisserie cooking is not something you will do, this grill covers the same 60,000 BTUs of everyday grilling.

Does the control panel stay cool?

The panel is air-cooled, which keeps the front safe to touch during a long cook and shields the valves and ignition behind it.
