How much space does the whole cart take up?

The ARTP-36C measures 61.3" wide, 26.3" deep and 49" high, and weighs 275 lbs. The 61" width includes the two side shelves, so measure the full span rather than the 36" grill head.

It rolls on locking caster wheels, but at 275 lbs plan on a flat surface and a second person if it has to cross a step.

Where does the 75,000 BTU rating come from?

Three stainless steel tube U-burners produce 20,000 BTUs each across the main surface, and a 15,000 BTU ceramic rear infrared burner brings the total to 75,000.

Does the rotisserie come with it?

Yes. The rear infrared burner is paired with a heavy-duty rotisserie motor for smooth, consistent turning, so you are not buying a separate kit to use it.

What storage does the cart have?

Two side shelves and dual access door storage in the base, all in matching 304 stainless steel. The enclosed base is where a propane tank or grill tools live.

Does it need an electrical outlet?

Yes. The ARTP-36C uses a 110V electrical ignition system, so the cart has to sit within reach of power as well as gas.

The electrical wires and connectors are encapsulated in heat-resistant silicone, which is what keeps the ignition reliable outdoors.

Can I see the grates at night?

An interior halogen work light lights the cooking surface. Its lens is removable, so you can clean the grease off it rather than cooking behind a fogged cover.

Is the hood easy to lift?

It is a seamless welded double-walled hood with a full-length handle and an easy-open spring-assisted system. The double wall is what gives it the heat retention for lid-down cooking.

How precise is the burner control?

Fully adjustable brass valves run each of the three burners independently, so you can hold a low indirect temperature on one side while searing on the other.

Is there a warming rack?

A dual-position warming rack lifts up and out of the way when not in use, which gives you back the full grate area for a big cook.

Are the knobs protected from weather?

The control panel is recessed, keeping the chrome knobs and switches out of the way, and the air curtain chimney design keeps controls cool to the touch even with the lid closed.

Both are made — the ARTP-36C-LP is the propane build. Choose the one matching your supply, since fuel type is set at the factory.

Should I get this or the built-in Professional 36?

Take the cart if you do not want to build an island; you get the same Professional cooking system on a mobile stainless base with shelves and storage. The built-in Professional 36 is the head alone, sized to drop into masonry.
