Frequently Asked Questions
What size opening do I need to cut for this sink?
The cutout is 14 3/8" wide by 14 3/8" deep. No cutout height is listed because the SSNK-15D drops in from above and rests on the countertop rather than mounting inside a cabinet face.
Cut the opening before the counter is set if you can. The sink flange covers the edges of the cut, so a clean square opening at that dimension is all the finish work you need.
How large is the sink basin itself?
The basin measures 15" x 15" x 6" deep. That is enough room to lay tongs, a sheet pan or a stack of plates flat while you rinse them, which is the point of putting a sink in the island instead of walking dishes inside.
Does the faucet come with it, or do I buy that separately?
The faucet is included. It is a chrome plated hot/cold faucet with a double handle valve, so both supply lines run to the one fixture and you mix the temperature at the sink.
Is there a drain included?
Yes. A stopper and strainer come with the sink, so you can either hold water in the basin or let it drain while catching food scraps.
What is it made of?
The sink body is #304 stainless steel and the faucet is chrome plated. That is the same grade of stainless Summerset uses across its outdoor kitchen components, so the finish matches neighboring doors and drawers in the same island.
