Summerset 14" Narrow Trash Drawer TD1-14 - Roll-Out, Stainless Steel
Frequently Asked Questions
What size opening do I need to frame for the TD1-14?
The cutout is 12 3/8" wide, 23 7/8" high and 19 5/8" deep. Those are the finished opening dimensions, not the drawer's outside size.
The unit itself is 14 1/2" wide overall, so the face overlaps the opening on both sides once it is set in place. Confirm your island framing against those numbers before you cut.
Does a trash bin come with the drawer?
Yes. A removable trash bin is included, so you are not sourcing a separate liner or bucket to fit the cavity.
Because the bin lifts out, you can carry it to the curb and drop it back in rather than reaching into a fixed compartment.
How does the drawer open and close?
It rolls out on heavy-duty full-extension ball-bearing slides with a soft-close system. Full extension means the bin clears the island face completely instead of stopping partway.
The soft-close mechanism catches the drawer at the end of its travel, so a loaded bin does not slam shut.
What is the drawer made of, and will it hold up outdoors?
It is built from commercial-grade #304 stainless steel, which resists rust, corrosion and discoloration in outdoor conditions.
The weather-resistant finish wipes down easily, which matters more on a trash unit than on a storage drawer.
Is 14 inches wide enough to be worth the island space?
The narrow 14" footprint is the point of this model. It gives you concealed waste disposal in a run where a 20" unit would eat into cabinet or appliance space.
If your island layout is tight and you have already assigned the wider bays, this is the size that fits in what is left.
Does the drawer keep the trash out of sight?
Yes. The construction is fully enclosed, so the bin sits behind a solid stainless face rather than in an open cabinet.
That also shields the contents from wind, rain and debris while the drawer is closed.
Will it match the rest of my Summerset outdoor kitchen?
It uses the same #304 stainless finish and flush mount styling as other Summerset island components, so the faces line up in a mixed run.
You can see how it sits alongside the other waste options in the roll-out and pull-out trash bins collection.

I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
