What does "horizontal" mean on the DR2-32H?
The two drawers sit side by side across a 32" bay rather than stacked one above the other. You get wide, shallow access instead of a deep vertical stack.
That layout suits long items and wide island runs where there is not much height to give up under the countertop.

Only 6 1/4". The full opening is 30 1/4" to 30 1/2" wide, 6 1/4" high and 20 1/4" deep.
