Constructed from durable #443 stainless steel, the Pro Power Burner is engineered for long-term outdoor durability and resistance to heat and corrosion. At its core is a dual-ring burner system featuring a 36,000 BTU outer burner and a 24,000 BTU inner burner, producing up to 60,000 total BTUs for both high-output searing and precision simmering.

What is a power burner for?
High-heat cooking that a grill cannot do: seafood boils, stock pots, stir fry, wok cooking and anything in oversized cookware. It is the outdoor equivalent of the biggest burner on a commercial range.
How many BTUs does the PB2-PRO produce?
60,000 BTUs total from a dual-ring burner, split between a 36,000 BTU outer ring and a 24,000 BTU inner ring.
Running the inner ring alone gives you controlled simmering; both rings together bring a full boil pot up fast.
What cutout does it need in the island?
13 3/4 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 8 inches high.
What is the finished size of the unit?
15.75 inches wide, 23.25 inches deep and 9.63 inches high, so the top laps roughly an inch onto the counter on each side of the opening.
Can I use a wok on it?
Yes. A removable wok ring is included, which cradles a round-bottom wok over the flame and lifts out when you go back to flat cookware.
Will it hold a full stock pot?
The grate is 9mm stainless steel and specified to support heavy pots and pans, over a 215 square inch cooking surface. That is the reason to choose a power burner over a side burner for a crab or crawfish boil.

Is a cover or lid supplied?

It depends on the pot. This burner is built for volume and high heat at 60,000 BTUs; the Summerset Pro double side burner is 24,000 BTUs across two independent burners for sauces and side dishes.
Kitchens with space for both usually put the power burner at the end of the run, where a tall pot is out of the traffic path.
