Double Side Burner Insulating Liner

The Double Side Burner Insulating Liner (GL-ASB2) is what makes it legal and safe to drop an Estate, Encore, Muscle or Atlas double side burner into an island framed with combustible material — wood studs, composite cabinetry, or any custom build that is not solid masonry. One liner covers the ESTSB2, ENCSB2, MUSSB2, ATSSB2 and OVASB2 double side burners, plus compatible sear side burner configurations.

Constructed from double-lined #304 stainless steel, the liner creates a thermal barrier between the appliance chassis and the surrounding structure. The double-wall construction is the point: it traps an air gap that does the actual insulating work, rather than simply putting one sheet of steel between the heat and the framing.

Side burners get overlooked in combustible-construction planning because they are smaller than the grill — but 28,000 BTUs firing directly above a wood-framed cabinet is still 28,000 BTUs. The liner treats that cutout with the same seriousness as the grill cutout.

Precision-built for a seamless fit, it disappears once the appliance is set, leaving the clean built-in appearance you paid for. Backed by the American Made Grills Gold Standard lifetime warranty on stainless steel construction, workmanship and materials. Browse the rest of our grill liners to match liners to every cutout in the island.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which side burners does this one liner cover?

The GL-ASB2 fits the ESTSB2, ENCSB2, MUSSB2, ATSSB2 and OVASB2 double side burners — the Estate, Encore, Muscle, Atlas and Ovation units.

Check the model designation stamped on your burner rather than going by series name alone, since the same liner spans five of them.

Does it work with sear side burner configurations?

American Made Grills lists it as covering compatible sear side burner configurations alongside the double side burners. Match your model number before ordering.

Is a liner worth it on something as small as a side burner?

Side burners get overlooked in combustible-construction planning because they are smaller than the grill, but 28,000 BTUs firing directly above a wood-framed cabinet is still 28,000 BTUs. The liner treats that cutout with the same seriousness as the grill cutout.

When is it required?

For islands framed with combustible material — wood studs, composite cabinetry, or any custom build that is not solid masonry.

What is the construction?

Double-lined #304 stainless steel, with the insulating air gap held between the two walls.

Does it protect the burner as well?

Yes, it also shields the appliance chassis from long-term heat cycling. If you are still selecting the burner itself, see the Estate double side burner ESTSB2.
