TrueFlame 12" Duct Cover for TF-VH36-2 Vent Hood

Above a wall-mounted vent hood there is a length of exposed ducting running up to the ceiling or soffit, and this is the stainless sleeve that hides it. The TrueFlame 12" duct cover, model TF-VH36-2-DC, is the fixed-length cover for the 36-inch TF-VH36-2 outdoor vent hood. It is a finishing part rather than a functional one: the duct still does the work, the cover just closes the view of it.

The model is TF-VH36-2-DC and the hood it belongs to is the TF-VH36-2. Check that designation on your hood before ordering. No island cutout is involved, this being a wall and ceiling detail rather than a countertop one. What you do need is the vertical distance from the top of the hood to the ceiling or soffit, measured on site: at 12 inches this cover suits a short run, and a taller one either needs covers stacked or the telescopic version instead. Duct routing and clearances follow TrueFlame's installation manual.

Who This Model Is Best For

This is the right cover for a 36-inch TrueFlame hood installed under a low soffit or a dropped ceiling, where roughly a foot of duct is showing. Because it stacks, it also suits an installer who would rather build the height out of known 12-inch increments than fit an adjustable sleeve. If your ceiling is high and you want a single part that spans the gap, look at the 22" to 43" telescopic duct cover for the TF-VH36-2 instead.
