This is the adjustable duct cover for TrueFlame's four larger outdoor vent hoods. Model TF-VH4272-DCT extends from 22 inches to 43 inches and fits the TF-VH42-3, TF-VH48-3, TF-VH60-3 and TF-VH72-3. It hides the ducting between the top of the canopy and the ceiling, and because it telescopes, one part handles a wide band of ceiling heights across all four hood widths.

Model and Installation Information
Match the cover to the hood's model designation. This one is right for a TF-VH42-3, TF-VH48-3, TF-VH60-3 or TF-VH72-3, and wrong for a TF-VH36-2. There is no island cutout to prepare, but you should measure the vertical distance from the top of the hood to the finished ceiling or soffit and confirm it lands between 22 and 43 inches. If it is shorter, the fixed duct cover for the same four hoods is the alternative. Duct routing, clearances and electrical connections at the hood follow TrueFlame's installation manual and should be completed by a licensed professional.

This is the practical choice on a large outdoor kitchen where the hood is one of the 2,000 CFM models and the ceiling height above it has not been pinned down. Which hoods does this cover fit?
Four of them: the TF-VH42-3, TF-VH48-3, TF-VH60-3 and TF-VH72-3. One duct cover serves all four of the larger TrueFlame hoods, so you order by hood model, not by hood width.
Will it work on a TF-VH36-2?
No. The 36-inch hood takes its own 22-inch to 43-inch telescopic cover, which is a separate item despite covering the same length range.
What does telescopic mean here?
The cover adjusts in length between 22 and 43 inches rather than arriving at one fixed size. You set it to the run between the top of the hood and the ceiling during installation.
What if my ceiling run is longer than 43 inches?
This cover will not reach it. Measure from the top of the hood to the ceiling before ordering and confirm the number falls inside the 22-to-43-inch range.
