American Made Grills Encore Power Burner

The American Made Grills Encore Power Burner (ENCPB2) is the unit that takes the jobs a grill cannot: stock pots, seafood boils, wok cooking, deep frying, canning — anything that needs a wide, ferocious flame under heavy cookware. Styled to sit flush alongside the Encore Series, it keeps that work outdoors instead of on your kitchen range. Browse the full range of side and power burners from American Made Grills.

The dual-ring stainless steel burner is what separates a power burner from an ordinary side burner. A 24,000 BTU inner ring and a 36,000 BTU outer ring fire independently or together for 60,000 total BTUs, so you can hold a gentle simmer on the inner ring alone or bring 40 quarts of water to a rolling boil on both.

Built from stainless steel for real outdoor exposure, with front-panel LED lighting that keeps the control markings readable after dark. The included protective lid closes the burner down to a clean, flush surface between uses — which matters when the unit lives in the middle of your island counter.

The Encore version wears the flat, unornamented front used across the Encore hybrid grills. If your island runs an Encore or Muscle grill head, this is the burner that lines up with it — the panel proportions and handle detail are drawn from the same set, so the two sit together without a visual seam.

With up to 380 square inches of usable surface, it handles cookware that would be unstable on a standard side burner. Available in natural gas or propane, made in the USA, and backed by the Gold Standard warranty with 100% non-prorated replacement parts. If your island is framed with combustible material, pair it with the matching power burner liner from our grill liners.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much heat does the Encore Power Burner put out?

60,000 BTUs total. That figure comes from two separate rings: a 24,000 BTU inner ring and a 36,000 BTU outer ring on a single dual-ring stainless steel burner.

The output is the reason this unit exists. It is meant for work a grill cannot do — wide, heavy cookware that needs a broad flame underneath it rather than a narrow one.

Can the two rings be fired separately?

Yes. The inner and outer rings fire independently or together, so the burner covers a wide range in one unit.

Run the inner ring alone when you want to hold a gentle simmer. Open both when you need to bring 40 quarts of water to a rolling boil.

How much cookware will fit on it?

Up to 380 square inches of usable surface. That is enough to sit a stock pot or a wok flat and stable.

Cookware that would tip or overhang on a standard side burner sits properly on this one, which is the practical difference when you are moving a full pot.

How is this different from a double side burner?

The burner itself. A side burner gives you two conventional rings for pans and sauces; the ENCPB2 gives you one dual-ring burner that concentrates 60,000 BTUs under a single large vessel.

If your cooking is sauces and side dishes rather than boils and fry pots, the Encore double side burner is the unit built for that job.

Is the ENCPB2 built in, or does it sit on a cart?

It is a built-in unit. It drops into an outdoor kitchen island or counter run rather than standing on its own base.

Plan the opening as part of the island build. The burner is designed to live in the middle of a counter, not to be moved around.

Does it run on natural gas or propane?

Both are available. The ENCPB2 is offered in a natural gas configuration and a propane configuration, and you choose which one you order.

Pick the fuel that matches the supply already at your island, since the configuration is set when the unit is built.

Does it come with a lid?

Yes, a protective lid is included. Closed, it brings the burner down to a clean, flush surface.

That matters more than it sounds when the unit sits mid-island — between cooks you get usable counter instead of an open burner well.

Can I read the controls after dark?

Yes. The ENCPB2 has front-panel LED lighting that keeps the control markings legible at night.

My island is framed in wood. Can I still install it?

Not without an insulating liner. Any island framed with combustible material needs the matching power burner liner between the framing and the unit.

The insulating liner for the Estate, Muscle and Encore power burners is the counterpart part for this burner.

Will it look right beside my Encore or Muscle grill head?

It should. The Encore version wears the flat, unornamented front used across the Encore hybrid grills, and the panel proportions and handle detail are drawn from the same set.

In an island running an Encore hybrid grill or a Muscle grill head, the two line up without a visual seam between them.

What sort of cooking is a power burner actually used for?

Stock pots, seafood boils, wok cooking, deep frying and canning — anything that needs a wide, ferocious flame under heavy cookware.

The point of putting it outside is keeping that mess and that heat off your kitchen range.

How does it hold up to weather?

It is built from stainless steel for real outdoor exposure and is rated weather resistant, so it can stay installed in the island year round.

The included lid adds a second layer over the burner face when the unit is not in use.
