Built-In Grill Replacement Guide: Find Your Old Model's Original Opening and Current Match

Look up your old built-in grill by model number to see its original island opening and which current grill matches it. Every opening below comes from the original manufacturer's own installation manual or cutout sheet. Each match is labelled by how strongly the manufacturer's published figures support it, from a confirmed same-opening replacement down to a dimensional candidate that still needs a modification or a check. The brand pages linked in each section give the full detail.

Last verified 2 October 2026. Measure your actual opening before you order: older islands are often out of square, and some manufacturers' own documents disagree by a fraction of an inch.

What the status means

Status Meaning
Confirmed same-opening replacement / confirmed successor The manufacturer publishes the same opening for the old and current model and links the two in its own documents (a shared jacket listing, or a "pre-2025" model mapping). An installer should still check your opening.
Same published opening The published openings match in width, depth and height, but no manufacturer document links the two models directly.
Successor — check needed The manufacturer names the current model as the successor, but one dimension differs. The brand page says what to check.
Dimensional candidate The current grill's published cutout and head size make it a possible fit, but a modification or a check is still needed.
No current match Nothing we sell covers the old opening without rebuilding it.

Your brand or model isn't listed

We add a model only once its original opening is confirmed from the manufacturer's own documents. If yours isn't here, send us the model number from the rating label and your measured opening (width at the front and back, depth, and height to the first thing below the counter). We will compare it with the published cutouts of current grills and tell you which are candidates and what would need to change. You can also browse every grill we sell by cutout size in the replacement cutout finder.

FAQ

Where do I find my grill's model number?

On the rating label, usually inside the access door below the grill, on the drip-tray frame or under the control panel. The model number tells us which original opening your island was built for.

What is the difference between a confirmed replacement and a dimensional candidate?

A confirmed replacement has the same published opening as your old grill and the manufacturer links the two models in its own documents. A dimensional candidate can work on the published figures but still needs a modification, such as a filler strip, trim or a height adjustment, or a check of a figure the manufacturer publishes inconsistently.

Can I reuse my old insulating jacket or liner?

Only where the manufacturer lists the same liner for the old and new grill, as Coyote does for its C1/C2 and C3 grills in 34, 36 and 42 inches, and as Summerset does in its pre-2025 liner mapping. Otherwise use the liner the new grill's manufacturer specifies.

Do you install the replacement?

No. We are a retailer: we help with product selection and fit questions. Installation, gas work and any change to the countertop must be done by a qualified installer against the manufacturer's current instructions.
